About Me

Since this is my first time ever writing blog, I think it would be better if I introduce you a little bit about myself. My name is Jichen Zhang, or you can call me Jarvis if you like. I am a 19-year old boy from China, freshman of Penn State Abington. 

I have actually never been to America before. It wasn’t my plan to study overseas until 8th grade when my mom saw me struggling to live through all those tests. Thus, after spending three year in a traditional Chinese middle school,  I went to an international high school that strangely doesn’t have any foreign students, but I didn’t care cuz I thought that finally I get to experience this so called Western education and get rid of the old one. With the platform that my school provided, I had chance to participate events like concert choir, basketball tournament, and I was given the opportunity to host Model UN conference myself. Plus, the school has VPN, and yes, I learned most of English on Youtube for sure. It is the school that allowed me to settle down and figure out my passion on communication, which I will be major in for the following years. 

Now, here we are, we have officially entered college, a completely different ball game. I am looking forward to be acknowledged with more American culture, and sine I’m a proactive person, I can’t wait to see all of you and hopefully we can hang out sometimes.
